De cara a una nueva conmemoración del 8M, el proyecto de la compositora María Paz Artigas estrenó una canción que valora «la lucha femenina a largo de la historia» y con consignas en contra del patriarcado.
Previo a este importante hito, Catártica Animal sorprende con un furioso reggaetón feminista, cargado de contenido social y ritmos pegajosos. María Paz Artigas, vocalista y compositora, comenta que este single «nació pensando en todas las mujeres que han dado la cara por el género en la lucha femenina a lo largo de la historia y en todo este nuevo contexto social».
Asimismo también está dedicado a «aquellas dirigentas o activistas que incansablemente han hecho un trabajo de hormiga».
Tras la buena recepción de sus dos primeros EP (“Soltar” 2018 y “Canciones para el Desvelo» 2019), Catártica Animal trae este nuevo single, que viene a saldar una deuda personal de la artista con el reggaetón.
“Quería desmitificar la idea de que el reggaetón es un género que no puede tener un mensaje o una letra con contenido social. Finalmente, más allá del género musical, el machismo es transversal en la música”, dice la artista.
“Brujas” fue producido, grabado y mezclado en Chile Suena Producciones Musicales, junto al productor Erick Armijo (Sagredo, Musso) y masterizado en Clio Mastering por Francisco Holzman. Además, cuenta con la colaboración de Gonzalo Díaz en guitarras.
Este 12 de marzo, Catártica Animal presentará su nuevo single, junto a CRUDA en el Ciclo Cóctel de Femme de Bar El Clan (Bombero Nuñez 363 Barrio Bellavista). La cita es a partir de las 22:00 horas y las entradas se pueden conseguir por Eventrid o vía mail ticket@elclan.cl
